My Reiki Philosophy

I am a Traditional Teaching Master of Reiki. I practice and teach Reiki in the way that it was passed from Mikao Usui to Chujiro Hayashi to Hawayo Takata.

I give treatments in my home and teach classes. I sponsor and attend local Reiki Circles.

I have done my training with a traditional master who is very pragmatic. Reiki without the add-ons.

I have personally tried out and investigate many types of healing. I have found that I really like the hands on healing techniques. And out of the hands-on healing Reiki is my favorite. It is very simple to learn because of the attunement process. It feels wonderful to give and receive. I don't have any philosophies that extend outside of my personal experience. It feels like there is merit to what I am doing. I get feed back to what is going on for a person who is getting a treatment. I feel warmth in my hands when the energy is flowing. If a place needs a lot of energy then I get an ache in my arms and I need to lift my wrist for a second. Pain feels like a buzzing sensation in my hands.

I have watched kitchen burns disappear under my hands. Felt headaches go away in myself and others.

People who I have treated will say they feel warmth. Flowing energy the sometimes goes to an old injury like a sore back. It is very relaxing and many people fall asleep in the first minutes of a session.

I have a friend that does acupuncture on herself and she said it felt like she had 100 needles in (that was a good feeling :) I regularly work with people who suffer from migraine headaches at a distance.

Reiki is one of many healing methods. I think it is a wonderful way to interact with the world.
